So that charmed symbol is wicked and I love it lol.... last year when I got into watching it again I was "When I'm older I want that for a tattoo" I learnt what it is the trinity symbol and what it means and its means it represents the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit The interweaving lines represent One being in Three seperate, but equal parts. I am a christian and I really like the meaning of it.. after a LONG time of thinking and everything me and my 2 other sisters got a tattoo. Me and my older sister got the trinity symbol and my twin got a celtic cross... Yeah thought I would share that with u all... have a good one

Actually, the symbol used in Charmed is called a Triquetra, as the Trinity symbol
usually lacks the middle circle. I say usually because the two names are often confused. See the difference below. According to Charmed sources, they picked the Triquetra instead of the Trinity symbol because they didn't want a religious context, instead respresenting the three Charmed Ones.

oo okay well like its is a triquetra but its a symbol of the Holy Trinity. I just have heard differenly but u are prob. right .. I just heard that that the Trinity is also called Triquetra .. Like I am not trying to be like "no ur wrong" or what ever its not like that at all... but here are some facts on the Triquetra "Trinity" that there the same and mean the same thing only the one with the Circle..the circle is symbol of eternity. so ya like I said I am not not trying to be rude or anything lol just with only uses messges you might take it the wrong way which is not what I am doing so ya ttyl

Well... As far as I know the "charmed-symbol" is a celtic symbol standing for the ... I don't know how to translate it in english. "The tripple godess" I guess, representing the jung girl, the mother and the old wise woman. And it still has the the same meaning for modern witches - as far as I know. So it fits perfectly to the show.
But it's true that the christians adapted it and turned it from a female to a male sign, and I think, through I'm not sure, that they mostly use it without the ring.

The english term is the "triple-faced goddess" which represents the Virgin, the Mother and the Hag (or the Old Woman). Or if you want to go into Greek/Roman legend, it represents the Goddesses Persephone (the Virgin), Demeter (the Mother), and Hecate (the Old Woman).

But then we are getting off the triquetra and into Tarot, Astrology, and Greek Myth! lol Though I guess it's all tied together.

I'm the owner of a necklace with the triquetra on it. I also love the symbol and I wanted it also as a tattoo.

Correct me if im wrong....but when I looked it up on the internet because I was curious to know what it was it meant loads of different things..
The first meaning which came up the most is that it is a sign of witchcraft in general, people wear it on a necklace to tell other people they believe in witchcraft
The other meaning is the holy trinity thing but the meaning that definitely came up the most was the witchcraft one and that would make more sense in a way because charmed is about witchcraft and it would be weird really to have a christian symbol on a witchcraft show because witchcraft is completely against christianity and it is called 'devil worship'
But this is just what I think so feel free to contradict me....
