This is my new niece Solei Anne Lambert born Jan 15th (same day as Drew's niece..lol) at 8:14PM PT.

Solei on the morning after her birth...eyes wide open ...lol

And Solei just before her pics...(I am such a proud auntie!!)

I am flying to see her for the first time this weekend....I can't wait!!!

Kim - Lovely pictures! Both the ones of you and Sarah (she looks older than twelve, so maybe you should get that boy-beating stick ready already, just in case

Jody - Great pictures! Those ice sculptures are beautiful. Good thing you got to visit them before the tents crashed down because of the snow

. I also love the pictures from your Berlin trip, especially the ones from Madama Tussauds! For a minute I thought that picture with Robbie Williams was taken at Peter Live (it reminded me of the big red couch there lol...).

yeah i was happy that we went before the tent crashed down. No that was from madam tussauds. Wanted to see who was gonna ask if i was sitting next to robbie williams.

As I said in the OffTopic... Yesterday I wanted to go to Usedom... It all started off nicely really... I had a nice and good night, then we went to the train station got in the train, had good seats... all pretty nice...
Through it did start to snow after a while... (Don't know how much of that is visible in the picture...)

Then... The train stopped in Anklam, which is about 2/3 of the way...
And that was it... No more going to the north... There was just too much snow and too much wind... And another train before ours was stuck in the snow two station farther to the north so they decided to stop our train as well and send it back...
So we had a little break there before the train was allowed to return...which at the beginning was nice... because we could leave the train and have a little snowball fight...*lol* But then in that town it got pretty stormy as well as you can see in the following videos and pictures which I made from the train window...

We had been a bit worried than, because as you can see in one of the videos the other railway wasn't even visible anymore under the snow... so we had been a little bit worried the be stuck there as well if we would not start to drive back soon... but then we did... And the following picture I made again from the train on our way back...

And in the afternoon we were back in Berlin... and now see what the train looked like when we arrived...

So of course we had been a little sad that we couldn't reach the island... but on the other hand it was a nice adventure...*wink*

Chrissy - Wow, that's a lot of snow! Too bad you didn't reach Usedom, but I'm just glad you made it back to Berlin safely! And snowball fights are great! We had one at midnight and I just couldn't stop laughing lol..

Happy? lol We actually don't have much here right now. *crossing-my-fingers-that-it-stays-this-way-or-better-yet-melts* And yeah, snowball fights are fun! Gosh, I haven't had a real good one since high school! lol

@Lore, Jen and Jody: Yeah that was a weird trip... But one week later we tried it again and this time we did make it to usedom without trouble... Pictures of that and also some others will follow later... I just need some more time...
