ok...army wives season 1 dvd update. This is taken from an interview katherine fugate (creator or AW) did live via the internet last night...

Army Wives season 1 DVD box set will be on sale on or around June 10th (to coincide w/season 2 premiere). It will contain lots of bloopers and live interviews with all of the cast. It will also have "Goodbye Stranger" sung by the cast of army wives in karoke fashion. She also mentioned to watch the reruns of AW that are now airing in the US on sunday nights and that the final episode will appear the week before season 2 begins. She said that most of the cast will be arriving this weekend in charleston and that filming will begin on wed the 19th.

Wow! Great news!! So, you said "Goodbye Stranger" would be sung by the cast in karaoke fashion. Does that include Drew? (I'm sure I remember him saying in an interview somewhere that he claims he can't sing....) Because that alone would be worth buying the DVD set for! lol (I'm horrible! I know! lol)

it was originally set to be put in the finale...and I think it was in a bar scene at the very end before the bomber came in..so I would say that no..sadly I don't think drew is in it. He was shipped off by then

Katherine had said before that when they edited the finale..they had to cut it out for time restrictions..but kept for the DVD

Oh well. Maybe next time.
Now I just have to find a way to save enough to buy the DVD set when it comes out.....

Yuppy! I was placing my order on amazon for other Drew movies and, not hoping to find this serie I tried to do a research and...I found it!
I could pre-order it and they'll send me as soon as it will be released in June.
I admit: I take a little advantage 'cause USD is a little low versus Euros, so I can save some money!

I'm so angry I tried to find it in Target and well...sigh no A.W. all I could find was Charmed.
