Army Wives Discussion **SPOILERS**

Postby dlrgrl1 on Sun Jun 03, 2007 9:00 am

ok..figured its time to start a discussion about the current and upcoming episodes since it premieres tonite. One point I need to bring up...and this does contain a spoiler on a future episode...

the second episode has roxy receiving a deployment letter for Trevor. He gets deployed on that episode. Does that mean we're not gonna see him for awhile? I wonder if it will be like Catherine Bell's husband on the show..in the first episode then gone...anyone wanna speculate?

Well it's a good thing I've been busy enough to be ignorant about them having the premier online way before hand because I can't even get it to work and it would have driven me crazy!

I tivo-ed it. I really liked it. At first I didn't even notice the Southern accents cuz ya know this is Texas but then I was like woah wait... that's different. Anyway I thought it was really good. I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes!

There's my two cents :D

I just finished watching the premiere as well..and its so much nicer to see it on big screen. I was concerned when I heard Trevor was being deployed..but from next week's preview and an extended preview they showed at the very end...it looks like he is definitely in more episodes then the next one...so hopefully it won't be a long deployment. I can't wait to see next week's episode...great cast..Great job Drew!!!

lol...on imdb..someone from the carolina's posted this about Drew...

And he's the only actor in either movie or television who has actually got the Carolina accent correct. I swear I want to smack the speech coach for Cold Mountain every time I watch that movie.

As you can probably tell, I'm Carolinian.

Drew has obviously done his research...

here is the official rating results for season premiere of army wives..

Lifetime Deploys 'Army' to Good Effect
By Jon Lafayette
Lifetime's "Army Wives" averaged 3.5 million viewers during its premiere Sunday night, the most-watched series premiere in the network's history.

Story continues below...

The show, starring Kim Delaney and Catherine Bell, drew a 2.9 household rating and was cable's No. 1 show among women 18-49 at 10 p.m. on Sunday. The show also drew Lifetime's highest rating among women 18-34 since May 2002.

"It's rare to hit the television trifecta, combining outstanding production values, rave reviews from national press and a viewer response that sends the ratings through the roof. But that's what we've accomplished with 'Army Wives,'" said Susanne Daniels, president of entertainment for Lifetime Networks.

CONGRATS TO THE CAST!!! well done too drew!!

drew is quoted in the local paper in charleston..

"Army Wives" shot its pilot in September and October. Cast and crew returned in February to finish the 13-episode series. Filming continues through mid-July. All told, they've enjoyed the region's charm and cuisine.

"It's not like people are unfriendly out in Los Angeles, but the Southern hospitality, specifically here, it's a little unnerving because you think it's a put-on," says Drew Fuller, starring as solider Trevor LeBlanc. "Everyone here says, 'Thank you, sir,' and, 'Please,' after everything. It's very nice."

Woot! Yep I think he did a good job because I was in South Carolina for about a day and a half (I got stranded at a gas station) and I've met some with a heavy southern accent. I would like to smack those of Cold Mountain. Cause the ones in this show did it. I mean did it.

Whew! I'm relieved that Army Wives did good. In your FACE DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES!

(Sorry I'm not a huge fan of that show.)
