Hahaha doesn't mean it's Dutch ;) Very odd but something from the Netherlands is 'Dutch' (I know almost the same as Deutsch :S, I like your finding better, but o well we can't decide that).

Anywho, the director himself is German I believe. He also directed episodes from German tv-shows like Cobra 11. He has his own site where you can check him out at: http://www.axelsand.com (I think by heart :S it could be .de but I think it was .com).

I went to that site that's linked to the new movie thing and it's all in German or whatnot... I think. It was a while ago... I don't know if it has changed. Okay, so maybe this is a dumb question, but is it an indie film? Meaning, like, will it not come to some theaters? I hope that isn't the case... I really would like to see it. If there's an English webbie for the movie, PLEASE let me know.

Aha...went to the site and there is the info, that the film is a thriller with international cast and they're shooting it in berlin in april! wow thats...now!

I'm not shure that it's an indie film, but he done a couple of german tv shows, some of them are very popular, and some german movies, too.
They were big successes and in theatres, so there's a big chance, that THIS movie is going to be in the theatres!!

PS: If you have some other german or french informations about the film, post it and i can translate them for you...
well..i hope we see some pics soon...

Here is the article. I've done my best.

Breaknecking/Daredeviling Stunts: Berlin as a scene for an Action Thriller

The shooting for the movie “Dark Ride” with Drew Fuller and Tanja Wenzel will last till the middle of May

At the first day of the beginning of the shooting for the Action Thriller “Dark Ride” were very hot pursuits. A crew with approximately 100 Employees was shooting the dangerous Stunt scenes for the TV Film with 15 cameras in Kreuzberg at the corner Zimmer- und Charlottenstraße.
The production of the Action Factory GmbH and Co. KG is about the young courier David, who lives in Berlin with his uncle. „There a lot of thrilling things happening to him and then he sudenly becomes the chased one”, says the Production manager Heiko Schmidt.

They’re filming in Berlin by the middle of May at famous places like the Gendarm Market or the castle quare at the palace of the republic. “We have chosen Berlin explicitly because the town has so many faces and is so international”, says Schmidt. The Axel-Springer-Publishing house has been chosen consciously as a background. The Stunt crew came from Cologne just for the shooting.

The action movie is designed for the international TV market. The actors are also international and come from America and Great Britain. The main actor Drew Fuller (24) was fetched from Los Angeles. He got famous in Germany especially because of the TV Show “Charmed” in wich he starrs with the three enchanting witches. He plays the character Chris Perry.

Tanja Wenzel plays -as the only German- a leading role in the film. The inhabitant of Berlin (Tanja) already took part in "Good Times, Bad Times" (a soap here in Germany) and joined also Bastian Pastewka and Anke Engelke in the German farce "the Wixxer". She also has a leading role in the new TV Show “Wilde Engel” (Wild Angels) which aires next Wednesday on RTL.

“Dark Ride”-Producer Hermann Joha is the managing director of the “Action Concept Film- and Stuntproduktion GmbH” from Cologne. German TV Shows like "Alarm for Cobra 11" and TV films like "Shark Alarm in Majorca" are coming from there.

Dark Angel--You may want to forward that translated article to Kelly. I think she might have a copy that was run through a translater, but your translation seems to be more accurate as those translaters often mess up a lot of words.

:( It's a TV Movie. Does that mean they won't show it in the UK? Despite that article says some of the actors are British, 'cause they never usually show any of the good movies over here...

Well... my oppinon to that...? I'm not sure what to think about it... I don't care about the fact that it is a TVMovie, because RTL (one TV-Station here) is involved in it... So it will be shown there someday... :) That's good... But I'm not sure if it will be a really good movie in the sense of a good story... I mean... I don't want to run down this movie before I've seen it... I only think of the other things RTL is/was producing... Those movies mostly have a lot of action, and a small plot... But maybe RTL is doing something better this time... As a german proverb said: A blind chicken someday will also find some corn...(Edit: The onlinedictionary says for that: "Every dog has his day"... maybe that's easier to understand...) So let's hope the best for the movie... And I'm sure Drew will do a great job!

the text from the teen-magazine (bravo)

Tanja Wenzel and Drew Fuller

"wilder engel" meet mystery-hero!

Berlin drool over - at least the girls! cause no one else then "Charmed"-star Drew Fuller(25) is there, shooting the "RTL"-actionmovie "Dark Ride" with "Wilde Engel"-star Tanja Wenzel(26). Drew about the shot:"I love actionmovies! The many stunts and the work with Tanja were much fun. She's great! I gave up my part as Chris in "charmed" for being here.

"RTL" is an german TV-Chanel and "Wilde Engel" is an german TV-Show.

the article from the website:

since april 2005 the""action concept cinema" is shoting a 90minutes TV-Movie with an international cast ,Drew Fuller, known from „Charmed“, Ken Bones, (Royal Shakespeare Company) and Alison King (Shanghai Knights“) act besides Tanja Wenzel (Wilde Engel) in the maincast. Axel Sand (Wilde Engel) take Regie and camera.

"Dark Ride“ is about a jung ameican, who work as a courier in berlin.
suddenly he became a part of a confusing and dangerous game between an international professional killer and the federal bureau of criminal investigation.

"Dark Ride“ is after „Lasko“ the second englishspeaking movie from action concept. „Lasko“ get finished in the beginning 2005 with hollywood-stararnold vosloo (the mumie).

The shootings for "Dark Ride" are planed to the middle of april, after that the raw material get arranged with visual and special effects.
the action concept film- and stuntproduction is one of the worldwide biggest fullservice stunt productions.

all this is really free translated and i think with many faults.

It sounds good... But did Drew really give up his part as Chris in Charmed for it? I mean... Maybe he was called again for some any other epi and he gave up???
