It's not as hard as it looks to take pictures of fireworks... You just need a camera that has a time exposure (SLRs (Single Lens Reflex) are great for it), a wide angle lens and a tripod. Oh, and a cable release helps, too. lol Then you just point the camera in the general direction of the fireworks, and hope for the best! lol Though one time, about 12 years ago, I managed to get some pics of fireworks with a point and shoot camera... It worked, but they weren't as nice... You just really need the time exposure.... And a second or two is all you need...
Taking pictures of Lighting, now that's hard!! I still haven't managed it yet.... It just doesn't cooperate like fireworks do.... lol
